My journey to the sea is part of a new and meaningful chapter in my life, one that brings together a love of discovery, connection, and the desire to experience the world more deeply. Through my role with Atlas Ocean Voyages, I’ve had the opportunity to step aboard and explore destinations that once felt far away—places defined not just by their beauty, but by their stories, cultures, and sense of wonder.

But what has surprised me most is not how distant these places are—it’s how accessible they can be.

Why I Created This Blog

Voyages with Karen was created to share these experiences in a way that feels both inspiring and approachable.

Expedition travel often carries a sense of mystery. It can seem like something reserved for seasoned adventurers or world travelers. The reality is quite different.

These voyages are thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and welcoming—offering the perfect balance of exploration and ease.
